DH1 Wireless Network Device Enrollment
All Duke IT-managed devices running macOS or Windows OS laptops that connect to Clubs will be automatically enrolled in the new DH1 Wireless Network. If a device is Duke-owned and user-managed (not IT-managed), then the user will need to complete enrollment on the device using the instructions below. Similarly, personal-owned (not owned by Duke) devices will also need to be enrolled to connect to the DH1 Wireless Network. Devices must have a minimum Operating System of macOS 10.15 or Windows Pro 10 build 1803 before trying to enroll to DH1.
Laptop Computers
User-Managed Devices for Users:
Instructions to self-enroll laptop computers with macOS and Windows Pro operating systems are linked below.
- User-Managed/Personal Devices running macOS not managed by JAMF*: Laptop users must self-enroll their device for the DH1 wireless network and “forget” the Clubs wireless network.
- User-Managed/Personal Devices running Windows Pro: Laptop users must self-enroll their device for the DH1 wireless network and “forget” the Clubs wireless network.
- Disconnecting from DH1: Laptop users must un-enroll their device from DH1.
*To determine if a device is managed by JAMF, go to System Settings and open Profiles. If there is not a Profiles icon, the device is not managed by JAMF.
IT-Managed Devices for IT Support Only:
- Managed/Shared Devices running macOS managed by JAMF*: Laptops will be automatically enrolled to the DH1 wireless network without further action required by users.
- Managed/Shared Devices running Windows Pro: Laptops will be automatically enrolled to the DH1 wireless network without further action required by users.
If users with a User-Managed/Personal Device running macOS or Windows Pro choose to not enroll a laptop to the DH1 wireless network, devices will not have access to the DH1 wireless network.
Mobile Devices
Mobile devices – smartphones, iPads, tablets, etc. – will not be able to connect to the DH1 wireless network at this time. If mobile devices are currently connected to the Clubs wireless network, they should enroll in the Duke Health Mobile Device Manager by June 30, 2022.
Reminder: All mobile devices accessing the Duke Health network should be enrolled in the Duke Health Mobile Device Manager. Visit https://mobile.dhts.duke.edu/how-enroll or follow the Duke Health Mobile Device Manager Enrollment Instructions (KB0026712).
